Schedule and auto-post Shorts to YouTube
YouTube treats any vertical video under three minutes as a Short — which means every vertical clip you make in PostingClips becomes a Short the moment it is published. Describe the idea, pick a model, and a vertical clip goes out to your channel with a description written to be found.
Uploading your own videos works the same way. Connect your channel through Google's login, tick it when you post a clip or set up an automation, and PostingClips publishes at the time you set.
How a clip is posted to YouTube
The title comes from the automation's name, the clip's idea or the file name (trimmed to YouTube's 100-character limit), the caption becomes the description, and the video is published as public. Clips with AI-generated footage are flagged with YouTube's synthetic-media disclosure. Vertical clips under three minutes are classified as Shorts by YouTube automatically.
What you need before connecting
- A YouTube channel on a Google account you control.
- Approve YouTube's upload permission during connection.
- New channels may have an upload limit until they are verified with a phone number.
AI-generated clips on YouTube
YouTube asks creators to disclose realistic content that was altered or generated with AI. PostingClips sets that disclosure on every clip with AI-generated footage. Videos you filmed and uploaded, and footage from the library, are published without it.
Posting to YouTube in three steps
- 1
Connect your YouTube account
Connect YouTube Shorts to PostingClips through its official login.
- 2
Make a clip
Make it with AI from an idea, take it from our footage library or upload your own, and polish it in the free editor if you like.
- 3
Post the clip now or at a set time, or let an automation make and post new ones. YouTube gets its own caption and posting time.

YouTube questions
Do I need to do anything to make a video a Short?
No. YouTube classifies a vertical (9:16) video under three minutes as a Short on its own. Clips generated with AI in PostingClips are 9:16, so they land in Shorts; in the editor, keep the 9:16 format.
Where does the video title come from?
From the automation's name for the clips it makes; otherwise from the beginning of the clip's idea, or the file name for an upload — trimmed to 100 characters. The AI-written caption becomes the description, so it is different for every post.
Are the uploads public or private?
Public. If you prefer to review before publishing, make the clip yourself, check it in the editor and post it from Clips or the Calendar instead of letting an automation post it.
