Schedule and auto-post video to X (Twitter)
Video posts on X get more reach than text, but writing something sharp in 280 characters for every clip is its own job. PostingClips writes that line for you — terse, on-brand, with room for a hashtag or two — and attaches the clip you made: generated with AI, picked from the library or uploaded.
Posts go out through the X API via our posting provider, at the time you set, staggered from your other accounts so nothing looks copy-pasted.
How a clip is posted to X
One video per post, with a caption written specifically for X and cut to 280 characters. X has no AI label in its API, so clips with AI-generated footage carry a short disclosure in the text. Standard accounts can post videos up to 2 minutes 20 seconds long.
What you need before connecting
- An X account. Posting through the API is available on standard accounts.
- X bills every API call, so the developer account behind the connection needs a payment method — this is X's rule, not ours.
- Approve the write permission during connection.
AI-generated clips on X
X has no API-level label for AI-generated media, so PostingClips writes a short disclosure into the caption of every clip with AI-generated footage, inside the 280-character limit. Your own uploads and library footage are posted without it.
Posting to X in three steps
- 1
Connect your X account
Connect X (formerly Twitter) to PostingClips through its official login.
- 2
Make a clip
Make it with AI from an idea, take it from our footage library or upload your own, and polish it in the free editor if you like.
- 3
Post the clip now or at a set time, or let an automation make and post new ones. X gets its own caption and posting time.

X questions
How does PostingClips fit a caption into 280 characters?
Captions are written per platform, not copied across. For X the model is told the exact limit and writes one punchy line with at most two hashtags; anything over the limit is trimmed before posting.
Why does X need a payment method?
X charges for API access on a per-call basis. The account that authorises posting must have a payment method on file at X, otherwise posts are rejected.
Can I post a longer video on X?
Standard accounts are limited to 2 minutes 20 seconds. Clips generated with AI are much shorter; if you upload or edit longer videos, keep them under that limit for X.
